Los Embajadores is a service-learning opportunity that uses a proactive relationship-based approach to affect a transformative service experience for high school and college age youth. Since 1988, Los Embajadores participants have been traveling to the Baja Peninsula in Mexico to work with and live among local communities. Our program is grounded in service work but moves beyond manual labor to provide a holistic experience. The work we do serves as a conduit for building relationship with the Mexican people, learning how to form a supportive and interdependent community, and gaining a firmer understanding of the social justice issues that underlie poverty. read more....
