For Summer 2011, Los Embajadores is not offering trips to Mexico due to continuing security concerns in the region. However, for the second year now we are offering groups to opportunity to participate in the Los Embajadores Oregon Rural Immersion program. Groups are placed in either Woodburn or Salem and work with local organizations such as Oregon's Farmworker Union (PCUN) and the Farmworker Housing Development Corporation (FHDC), with a focus on learning about migrant farmworker solidarity and issues facing low-income Latino population.

We are excited about continuing the Rural Immersion for a second summer and look forward to our returning groups as well as new groups wanting an experience similar to the Mexico trip here in our local community.
