Los Embajadores is seeking volunteers who....

  • Have experience and interest in living in Mexico · and Latin America
  • Can communicate in Spanish (at least conversational level)
  • Enjoy working with teenagers
  • Are motivated to educate others about social justice issues
  • Can facilitate a spiritually enriching service experience
  • Are committed to Los Embajadores 5 components:
    · Service
    · Simple Living
    · Spirituality
    · Community
    · Social Justice

  • Are 21 years or older, although in some cases, exceptions may be made.
  • Want to provide a fun experiential learning opportunity for high school youth!

    Volunteers are expected to model the five components of our program by showing respect and consideration for all group leaders and participants, our host community, and everyone they may work with during their time in Mexico.

    Volunteer Benefits

    Los Embajadores agrees to provide staff volunteers with the following:

  • Room and Board through our host communities
  • A stipend of 100 pesos, or 10 U.S. dollars for each week they are working for Los Embajadores
  • Payment of a roundtrip flight to San Diego from any point in the United States, up to $300 (Larger amounts may be approved at the Director's discretion. Volunteers are responsible for finding and purchasing a ticket. They will be reimbursed for this expense upon giving the program a receipt.)
  • Payment for all program-related travel in Mexico, as well as to and from the San Diego Airport

    Los Embajadores does not offer medical or health insurance for volunteer staff.
